Hodenpyl Dam Wall Stabilization
Phase I - Soil Nail Wall: Removed approximately 3,500 cubic yards of embankment material between the existing substation and right downstream retaining wall. Installed 275 soil nails ranging in length from 30 to 125 feet. After the soil nails where installed we formed and poured a concrete wall that encapsulated the soil nails and temporary gunite face.
2002 - Anchors: Gerace installed 13 single bore multiple anchors (SBMA's) which were 100'-0" in length. Each unit anchor (4) was locked off at 34 kips to produce a single 136 kip production anchor.
2010 - Anchors: Gerace installed 19 single bore multiple anchors (SBMA's) which were 175'-0" in length. Each unit anchor (6) was locked off at 34 kips to produce a single 200 kip production anchor.
